Natalia Makarova dances Romance de luna, a piece that José Antonio choreographed and danced with her at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburgh. It is presented by Oleg Vinogradov, who was directing the company at that time, in 1990.

As Makarova herself told me years later, she had her debut with the Kirov Ballet performing the Spanish Dance of Swan Lake so she had the idea, at the end of her career, of having her farewell on that same stage dancing another Spanish piece. And she asked José Antonio to create a new ballet for her.
