Kenneth MacMillan era un experto en coreografiar duos apasionados y solos contenidos, como este de Manon. De jovencita hubiera dado lo que fuera por ser Jennifer Penney y que me bailaran algo así. De mayor daría lo que fuese por lograr algún día comportarme como Anthony Dowell. Ese es mi tipo.
Contenido, elegante, discreto y demoledor. No me interesa la gente que se despeina constantemente y pega gritos, ya sea en la calle o en escena.
Dowell resume todo lo que admiro y representa lo que ya apenas existe. Viva Dowell. Sir Anthony Dowell.

As a young girl I would have given anything to be Jennifer Penney and have something like this danced for me. When I grew up I would give anything to one day behave like Anthony Dowell. That’s my type.
Contained, elegant, discreet and devastating. I’m not interested in people who constantly mess up their hair and scream, whether on the street or on stage.
Dowell sums up everything I admire and represents what barely exists anymore. Long live Dowell. Sir Anthony Dowell.
