Frappé. Hace mucho, mucho tiempo se solía acentuar dentro; después, fuera. Actualmente está en peligro de extinción, gracias a la nula intervención de las autoridades.

Fjernt fra Danmark eller Et Costumeball ombord. No se asusten: es el título original del Lejos de Dinamarca de Bournonville. Y qué lejos veo Dinamarca, a veces.

Félix. Sólo de pensar en él, me dan escalofríos.

Freed’s. “Probablemente, las mejores zapatillas de punta del mundo”, desde que el Sr. Nicolini se llevara a la tumba el secreto de cómo mezclar la cola y el papel para endurecer la punta.

Fille Mal Gardée, La. Seamos sensatos; que el primer ballet protagonizado por una plebeya se estrenara un par de semanas antes de estallar la Revolución Francesa es una anécdota estupenda, pero la verdad es que no hay quien lo aguante.

Fonteyn, Margot. Una dama, claro.

Flic-flac. Paso absurdo y repipi que nos da mucha guerra, y que encima no va a ninguna parte. Últimamente lo pongo mucho en mis clases. Glups.

Fokine, Mikhail. Por atreverse a terminar un solo de su Chopiniana -el vals- con la bailarina de espaldas al público.

Fornaroli, Cia. Notable bailarina y esposa de Toscanini. Gracias al impresionante legado que dejó a la New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, pude incorporar un precioso grabado del Traité de Carlo Blasis a mi Augusto Bournonville, historia y estilo.

Farruca. Ay, que me falta el aire. Si es que soy como el perro de Pavlov.

Frappé. Long time ago, we used to emphasize its accent “in”; years later, the accent “out”. The frappé is currently in danger of extinction, due to the authorities’ policy of nonintervention.

Freed’s. Probably, “the best pointe shoes in the world”, since Mr. Nicolini took to his grave the secret of how to mix glue and paper in order to harden the box of the shoes.

Fille Mal Gardée, La. Let’s be sensible; the fact that the first ballet led by a plebeian was premiered a couple of weeks before the outbreak of the French Revolution is a great anecdote, but the truth is that no one can stand it.

Fonteyn, Margot. A real dame, of course.

Flic-flac. A prissy and absurd ballet step that gives us a lot of trouble; and on top of that, is so meaningless. I use it a lot in my classes, lately. Oooops.

Fokine, Mikhail. Because he was brave enough to finish the solo waltz in Chopiniana with the dancer standing back to the audience.

Fornarolli, Cia. Notable dancer and Toscanini’s wife. She left a huge legacy to the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, from which I could incorporate a beautiful engraving from Carlo Blasis’ Traité in my Augusto Bournonville, historia y estilo.

Farruca. OMG, I can’t breathe. I’m behaving like Pavlov’s dog.
