Shirley y Santa

Una vieja historia sobre la niña Shirley Temple cuenta que unas Navidades fue con su madre a un centro comercial para ver a Papá Noel. Shirley hizo la cola con los demás niños y cuando por fin pudo sentarse en sus rodillas para darle su carta… el pobre hombre, impresionado por la celebridad que tenía delante, sólo atinó a pedirle un autógrafo.

Shirley Temple -según su necrológica de ayer en el NYTimes– era más fotografiada en sus años de gloria que el Presidente de los Estados Unidos, Franklin D. Roosevelt.
