Day 40_ The Leaves are Fading

[People of the world, the Coronavirus has locked us up. But not only will it not be able to take us, but we will make the most of the lockdown. Here’s my idea for the day.]

Let’s find the beautiful time of day.
Anthony Tudor choreographed The Leaves are Fading in 1975 for the American Ballet Theatre. The real protagonist of the ballet is Dvořák, specifically his piece Cypresses for string quartet.
Here is a spectacular pas de deux, in which you don’t know when they dance and when they slide on the water; it was choreographed for Gelsey Kirkland and Ivan Nagy, and years later Amanda McKerrow and Kevin McKenzie, among other couples, took over.
These are the things I still enjoy watching.
