Day 68_Pepa Flores

[People of the world, the Coronavirus has locked us up. But not only will it not be able to take us, but we will make the most of the lockdown. Here’s my idea for the day.]

She dared to share the stage with Antonio ‘el bailarín’ himself. Marisol sings, acts, dances, and seduces anyone who crosses her path. Blonde and beautiful, free of artifices, her performances stand the test of time and we continue to be amazed when we see her move.
In La nueva Cenicienta, Pepa dances zorongo and rumba with Antonio ‘el bailarín’. Antonio and his finger-snapping, his broken wrists, his proud elbows – like Carmen Amaya – and his distinctive personality. And how wonderfully Antonio uses his hat.
When they’re both in profile, it makes you want to cut out their silhouettes and stick them on the fridge. They are just perfect.
