Ignoro si la idea fue de Petipa o de Vsevolozhsky, pero la escena no puede ser más perfecta para que Aurora empiece su periplo de tres actos en La bella durmiente. Es una parte comprometida, no por los giros que van aumentando de uno de uno a medida que ella recibe las rosas -algo que varía de unas versiones a otras- sino principalmente porque en la sección de los equilibrios, la clave está en que hay que buscar la mirada del partenaire justo antes de devolverle la mano, entre un port de bras y el siguiente. Eso, las bailarinas del Royal Ballet de Londres -todas, de Margot Fonteyn para acá- lo bordan.
